May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month!

Did you know that May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month? Let’s see how we can do that!

How much activity do we need? Little ones between three and five years old need to be active throughout the day. Youth over that age and up to 18 need 60 minutes a day of moderate activity to be healthy. Adults should aim for 2.5 - 5 hours of moderate intensity. That’s not to say you can’t get be more active; just make sure to drink plenty of water.

If you’re just starting out with physical activity, follow the guidance of your primary care doctor. They know what’s best for you.
