Spotlight on Local Produce
The UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program, a SNAP-Ed provider publishes Produce Spotlight. This new series features shopping, storing, and serving tips for local produce found at farmers’ markets and farm stands. In Massachusetts, local fruits and vegetables such as blueberries, salad greens, spinach and pears are available from June through October.
